Food Assistance in Yuma

Rural Communities Resource Center has partnered with Food Bank of the  Rockies to provide a Mobile Pantry for Yuma County citizens. Mobile Pantries bring food directly to communities where more food assistance is needed. The refrigerated trucks are met by a team of volunteers and RCRC staff members who help with set up and distribution. Clients receive the food based on self-declared need. Once the food is distributed, the volunteers help tear down the distribution and clean up the area. After the area is cleaned, the truck returns to the food bank warehouse.
To participate bring your I.D. and boxes or baskets to the Yuma County Fair Grounds located  Yuma, Colorado on the 3rd Monday of every month.

The doors open at 9:00am and end when food runs out. There are no eligibility requirements for Mobile Pantry food. Food is distributed on a first come, first served basis for anyone in need of food assistance.
